Samarqand is a new Restaurant and Bar opening in the heart of Marylebone in November 2009. Opening on an ideally located site on 18 Thayer Street, Samarqand will specialise in beautifully prepared Central Asian cuisine that offers diners the chance to experience rare, exotic and new flavours in a stylish environment. A chic bar and lounge area towards the back of the venue will serve innovative eastern-inspired cocktails to Samarqand’s mix of Russians, locals and savvy Londoners, whilst a number of private rooms, including a karaoke rooms, games rooms and poker rooms, provide entertainment to groups. For those loyal regulars, Samarqand will gift a limited number of ‘keys’ that allows chosen guests to use the venue late into the night, lending the restaurant an exclusive, speakeasy feel.
